De-Winterization

Spring Commissioning

Get your boat ready for the water with Omaha Marine Center’s comprehensive de-winterization service. Our certified technicians inspect, test, and prepare every key system to ensure your boat performs safely and reliably all season long.

What’s included

  • Checking trailer lights and tire pressure (including spare)
  • Inspecting gear lube, oil, trim, power steering, and battery fluid levels
  • Checking belts and reinstalling engine drain plugs (inboard & I/O)
  • Testing blower, bilge pump, and livewell pump operation
  • Starting and running the engine; checking water pump output
  • Verifying instrument, shift, and steering operation
  • Checking volt meter for proper charging
  • Testing bow and stern lights
  • Listening for abnormal noises or performance issues
  • Before launching, customers should always:

  • Install the boat drain plug
  • Inspect for fuel or water leaks in the engine compartment

Please note: After de-winterization, it is the customer’s responsibility to monitor weather conditions and protect the engine and water systems from potential freeze damage.
